The Global Solidarity Fund participated in the World Economic Forum 2022 Annual Meeting in Davos, convening faith leaders for dialogue with leaders from the private, non-profit and public sectors. The faith leaders offered perspectives that were unique and original in the Davos space and shared successful strategies they have pursued for social inclusion of the most vulnerable, and lessons learned to ensure that a global recovery provides an economic lift for everyone across all sectors.
GSF co-convened two roundtables at the Goal 17 Partners space in Davos. On Monday, May 23, GSF partnered with the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation to convene ‘Advancing Courageous Leadership: Elevating Voices From the Margins,’ a unique opportunity to hear and learn directly from the leadership of Catholic Sisters and Brothers who are on the frontlines of issues such as health care, migration, and human trafficking. On Tuesday, May 24, GSF and Unilever convened ‘Job Creation on the Edges: Refugees, Markets & the Power of Partnerships‘ with the support of the Hilton Foundation, a roundtable on innovative approaches leveraging market-based solutions to solve critical challenges of our time, such as employment for migrants and refugees.
